Dahab and Me Dahab is the name of a small town in the South Sinai, Egypt, that I fell in love with. A town that stands between the desert, a few Bedouin villages, and turquoise water, with some of the richest reefs in the world. The marine biologist Jacques Cousteau helped make the region famous while exploring it in the mid 50s. The village developed into a small town, famous for the dive and for its laid back atmosphere. It has remained a place to relax for backpackers traveling the famous route from Cairo to Istanbul, around Israel. I made several visits along the past six years, and developed great relationships with the people and the land. This work is an attempt to preserve my experiences and memories from a place that has eluded me for so long.
