Jinhee Park (b. 1984) is a painter who lives in New York City and Seoul, Republic of Korea. He is interested in eccentric yet lyrical and lively images. He likes imbedding musical rhythm on his palette like Vassily Kandinsky, organic forms like Paul Klee. He is also interested in artists making lively images like Peter Doig and Daniel Ritcher. He agrees with Darwin and Joan Roughgarden who emphasized each existence should be esteemed and also believes that music lets them work together. But the forms that he is making are never banal nor sociable. Rather, they are somewhat eerie and sometimes even autistic. Because it shows the deepening process of one’s subjectivity and he believes that real harmony comes from establishment of such particular subjectivity.
