olga lomakalondon United Kingdom
Born in Moscow, lives and works in London. An inner thought from Olga: «As a painter, I truly believe that beauty should be compulsive for any form of art. I attempt to couple femininity with sexuality in my works because of their greatest provocative forces. I enjoy using basic colors in combination with pallid but vivid shades. This is what allows me to transform dreams, fantasies, and the most enigmatic and intimate feelings, into reality». Olga’s work is not an exact reproduction of reality, but a transformation of her own experiences with regards to a particular place, phenomena, person, fantasy, or even a dream. That is why her works are appreciated both for the individual manner of execution, as well as, its unusual and unique style. Olga started her artistic career as a portraitist. In 2002, she graduated with a degree in painting from Loyola University (Chicago, USA). In 2011-2012, she attended a course in painting at Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design (London, UK). Since 2012, Olga is currently obtaining a degree in painting from Camberwell College of Arts (University of the Arts, London). Olga’s works have been exhibited in London, Paris, Moscow, Kiev, and Chicago. Her works are in 25 Kadr Gallery Fund, the «M17» Contemporary Art Center Collecton, the Loyola University Collection, as well as, in private collections throughout Russia and abroad.
