My work is methodological rather than topical, what is sometimes referred to as a "post-studio" practice. Not in the sense that the studio is abandoned but in that it’s acknowledged as a place with physical location. Inside and outside inform each other, a feedback loop that moves laterally. I combine the language of painting with a sculptural and photographic process that examines liminal mental, physical and pictorial spaces. My work manifests itself largely as photographs of compositions that range from complete contrivances to found gestures and their interstices, always acknowledging the image as a final resting place.
